Shareholder Anna Gallagher will lead a panel discussion on the rights of noncitizens facing immigration enforcement at the border, ports-of-entry and in the interior of the country. She will be joined by Claudia Cubas, Senior Program Director with the Capitol Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition (CAIR), and Omar Jadwat, Senior Staff Attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on May 4, 2017 at the DC Bar in Washington, D.C. The panelists will talk about the expanded enforcement measures ordered by the President in his Executive Orders. They will explain the contents of the orders and discuss the many court challenges filed by individuals, organizations and local governments across the United States attacking their validity. The presentation is designed to update participants on the current state of law, practices and procedures and to provide tips on handling removal matters at the borders and in the interior of the country.
