In Memoriam
The law firm of Maggio & Kattar, P.C. is deeply saddened to announce the untimely death of its chairman, Michael Maggio on February 10, 2008. Michael was 60 years old. He succumbed to cancer after a courageous ten-month battle.
Michael founded the law firm some thirty years ago in Adams Morgan in the heart of Washington, DC’s Latino community. The firm grew its reach and service from individual family, business, and asylum clients to a broad international clientele ranging from Fortune 500 multi-national corporations to universities, nonprofit organizations, and other institutions. From just a two-lawyer operation in 1978, the firm is now twelve lawyers strong with some forty support staff and immigration specialists.
Michael served his clients with a brilliant intellect, finely honed legal skills, and deep personal commitment. His clients were his passion. He not only solved their immigration problems, but also profoundly touched their lives. They remain the heart and soul of our practice.
The firm is committed to carrying on his vision and deep commitment to our clients under the leadership of principals Jim Alexander and John Nahajzer, and through the efforts and support of shareholders, staff members, and clients. Michael will be sorely missed. Our goal is to embody his dedication to providing top-notch legal assistance to all types of clients, large and small.
