Individual Client Representation
We represent thousands of individuals in virtually all areas of immigration law and across a wide range of disciplines. We specialize in employment– and family-based visas, visas for professionals and other highly skilled individuals, investors, deportation defense and waivers of inadmissibility, including J-1 and other waivers, asylum representation, adoption and naturalization. Our clients work a myriad of fields, including the hospitality, medical, biotechnology, and arts industries. Finally, the firm also provides special immigration services such as political advocacy, strategic immigration advice, and outbound immigration services.
Our attorneys conduct a 30–60 minute consultation meeting with all prospective clients in order to assess their current immigration issues and to provide practical solutions.
Consultation Meeting
Prior to a consultation, prospective clients are asked to send copies of their resume and copies of all immigration-related documents, including passport, I-94 Arrival/Departure Card, previous submissions to or decisions by the Department of Labor, the Immigration Service or the Immigration Court. Complete copies of any criminal records also are essential. Potential clients are provided with a Maggio & Kattar Client Intake Questionnaire that must be completed and submitted to the firm prior to the scheduled consultation. Potential clients who have scheduled phone consultations must provide these documents prior to the consultation, either by e-mail, mail or by fax. All immigration-related documents should be brought to an in-person consultation.
