Maggio & Kattar provides a variety of employment-based and related immigration services to corporations, academic and non-profit institutions, medical centers and other employers on an on-going, high volume basis. In these relationships, our approach reflects the firm’s philosophy of establishing a relationship with the client designed to optimally meet the client’s particular needs for an array of immigration-related services on a long-term basis.

We generally handle corporate and other institutional assignments on a flat fee rather than an hourly basis. The terms of these fee arrangements depend foremost on the nature and scope of the services required. We pride ourselves on personalized client care and legal excellence. Our foreign national clients are routinely and regularly involved in virtually every aspect of their cases. We are acutely aware how important their case is to them and their families. Moreover, we have an ethical duty to keep foreign nationals advised about their case and that our performance for the employers of our corporate clients directly reflects upon our corporate client as well as our firm.

Foreign nationals normally participate in a teleconference with the attorney, paralegal manager, and HR contacts at the outset of the case. This provides an opportunity to become acquainted with those working on the case. Of equal importance, this teleconference permits the attorney to analyze the case and recommend solutions. Foreign national are encouraged to participate in the discussion so that any question can be addressed immediately. Copies of all submissions and correspondence with government agencies are forwarded to our foreign national clients. Paralegal managers and attorneys respond to all e-mail or telephone inquiries, and additional teleconferences always can be arranged if the individual has further questions or concerns. “Milestone” e-mails to clients are provided at regular intervals. In instances involving long pending cases, it is our firm’s policy to advise a client of the status of his or her case no later than every 90 days, even if no action has transpired and no immediate action is warranted.

At the conclusion of each case, every foreign national client is provided with a client evaluation instrument that evaluates all aspects of the case, including preparation, responsiveness, legal advice, and billing procedures.
