Consultation and Legal Fees

Our consultation fees cover the cost of the time involved to provide a detailed analysis of a case.  We review the client questionnaires and documents in advance of the consultation and provide a follow up email or letter that summarizes the issue and proposes our legal fees or engagement for any required on-going legal work, if requested by the client.

In some circumstances, an individual's personal situation may require additional time to fully evaluate the case after the initial consultation meeting. This may include the need for research, letters or telephone calls to investigate and further evaluate a case.  In these situations, a fee above a standard consultation fee is required, when this type of additional work is requested. Formal written evaluations may also be requested after the initial consultation meeting, and are billed at a flat rate. A fee for each available immigration option, based on the facts presented, will be quoted during the consultation meeting, or shortly thereafter. The consultation fee will be credited towards the total flat fee if the firm is engaged within 30 days.

Representation

The firm’s value-oriented fee philosophy provides our clients with a responsive, results-oriented legal team. Legal fees for many cases may be set as a fixed or flat fee. In each case, fees are set to reflect the individual facts presented during the consultation, and the anticipated time and personnel required to achieve the client’s goals.

Only attorneys can quote a legal fee for a given case and only after a thorough assessment of the facts presented. Changes in the material facts of a case may change the fee quoted or the fee structure. Payments of legal fees for individual clients are usually broken down with an initial payment to start work, and the balance due based upon stages in the case and the achievement of results.
