Nadeen Aljijakli joined Maggio & Kattar in July 2006 as an Associate Attorney. She primarily works on complex cases involving family-based immigration matters, deportation defense, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers of inadmissibility, and immigration implications of criminal convictions.
Prior to joining Maggio & Kattar, Nadeen worked at the New York office of Klasko, Rulon, Stock, & Seltzer, handling business immigration matters in the medical and university research sectors. While in law school, Nadeen clerked at the U.S. Immigration Court in New York and participated in Brooklyn Law School’s Safe Harbor Clinic, where she represented clients in political asylum cases. Nadeen also interned at leading non-profit organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights.
Nadeen received her B.A. in Economics from New York University . She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School , where she was a public interest fellow and a finalist in a national family law moot court competition. Nadeen is licensed in the District of Columbia, New York, and New Jersey. Nadeen speaks Arabic.
